We have made it to Chicago! I'm knackered and my body clock is all messed up but we are here in one piece and my back seems to be loads better following Sundays accident at the gym.
Today Nay plans to drag me to the mall (yawn) then I'm popping back to the psych/rehab unit to catch up on gossip with some old work colleagues before finding something to do this evening with friends. I've been on strong painkillers for the last couple of days which have made my brain quite hazy but I'm quitting them today so I can fully appreciate being here (and hopefully sink a few pints too).
It looks like we just missed the snow in London although it's predicted to snow here soon too. Hopefully I'll be on a beach in Mexico by then :) |

I got my Open University results today, and huzzah!
Not only did I pass my course, but I got a grade 2 pass (a B)
No idea how I did this, and not sure I really deserve it,
as I havn't been as focussed as I should have been on this course.
Mind you, the reverse happened on my last course so I'll count this as payback :-)
I'm doubly happy as a grade 2 pass at level 3 means that to get the 2:1 result I'm after for my degree I only need to barely pass the other two courses. So the pressure is off a little.
Given that both my work collegues have a 2:1, as does Mrs Corone, and my brother has a 2:2 I HAVE to get a 2:1! I have no other option that allows me to maintain any self esteem :-)
However, I'm mainly happy as this was an exam course and I generally stink at exams.
While I must have got lucky with the right questions, its good to know that doing an exam course won't automatically mean it all goes horribly wrong.
So yay me!
Hope everyone else doing exams and courses got good results too! |
